Macaroni Salad Recipe
This macaroni salad recipe is creamy, slightly tangy, and very easy to make, even for beginners. It features tender pasta combined with fresh vegetables and a smooth, well-balanced dressing, making it an ideal side dish for gatherings, picnics, or simple family meals.

Ingredients
- 4 cups uncooked elbow macaroni
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 2 1/2 tablespoons yellow mustard
- 2/3 cup white sugar
- 1/4 cup white vinegar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 stalks celery, chopped
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 1/4 cup grated carrot
- 2 tablespoons chopped pimento peppers
Directions
- Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook the macaroni until tender but still firm. Drain and rinse with cold water, then set aside.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, mustard, sugar, vinegar, salt, and black pepper until smooth.
- Add the cooked macaroni to the dressing and stir until evenly coated.
- Mix in the celery, onion, green bell pepper, carrot, and pimento peppers until well combined.
- Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 4 hours to allow the flavors to blend before serving.
