Fry Bread Recipe

Ingredients
- 2 cups oil for frying
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 tablespoons baking powder
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 2½ cups warm milk
Directions
- Heat the oil in a deep fryer or large saucepan to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
- Add the warm milk and mix until a soft dough forms.
- Divide the dough into 18 balls, each about 2 inches in diameter.
- Flatten or roll each ball into a round about ½ inch thick.
- Make a small hole in the center of each dough round to help keep it flat while frying.
- Carefully place 3 or 4 dough rounds into the hot oil at a time.
- Fry until bubbles form on the surface and the fry bread is golden brown, about 2 to 3 minutes per side.
- Transfer the fried bread to a paper towel-lined plate to drain.
- Repeat with the remaining dough.
- Serve warm and enjoy.
