Ingredients
5 slices bacon
6 large eggs
1 cup milk
2 tablespoons butter, melted
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
¼ cup chopped green onions
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
Optional additions: sautéed mushrooms, spinach, zucchini, potatoes, tomatoes, or bell peppers
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 7×11-inch baking dish if not using an ovenproof skillet.
- Cook the bacon in a large ovenproof skillet over medium-high heat until crisp and evenly browned, about 8–10 minutes. Transfer to paper towels, crumble, and set aside.
- Whisk the eggs, milk, melted butter, salt, and black pepper in a large bowl until smooth and fully combined.
- Pour the egg mixture into the skillet or prepared baking dish.
- Sprinkle green onions and crumbled bacon evenly over the eggs, then top with shredded Cheddar cheese.
- Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, until the center is set and a knife inserted in the middle comes out clean.
- Remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
