Ingredients
1 ½ cups shredded Swiss cheese
4 teaspoons all-purpose flour
1 (9-inch) frozen unbaked pie crust
½ cup cooked ham, diced
3 large eggs
1 cup milk
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon dry mustard
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
2 tablespoons chopped pimento peppers
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Gather all ingredients so everything is ready for assembly.
- In a medium bowl, mix the shredded Swiss cheese with flour. Sprinkle the cheese mixture evenly over the frozen pie crust. Add the diced ham on top of the cheese layer.
- In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and dry mustard until the mixture becomes smooth and evenly blended. Carefully pour the egg mixture over the cheese and ham inside the crust.
- If needed, wrap a small strip of foil around the edges of the crust to prevent it from over-browning during baking.
- Place the quiche in the preheated oven and bake for about 1 hour, or until the filling is fully set and the crust turns golden brown. A knife inserted in the center should come out clean when the quiche is done.
- Remove the quiche from the oven and allow it to cool slightly. Garnish with chopped parsley and pimento peppers before slicing and serving.
