Ingredients
3 tablespoons olive oil
½ onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, chopped
2 quarts water

1 teaspoon salt, or to taste
½ teaspoon black pepper, or to taste
½ head cabbage, cored and coarsely chopped
1 (14.5 ounce) can Italian-style stewed tomatoes, drained and diced
Directions
Heat olive oil in a large stockpot over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic and cook until the onion softens, about 5 minutes. Stir in the water, chicken bouillon, salt, and black pepper, and bring the mixture to a boil. Add the chopped cabbage and simmer until it begins to wilt, about 10 minutes.
