Baked Potato Recipe
This baked potato recipe gives you soft, fluffy potatoes on the inside with crisp, perfectly seasoned skins on the outside. It’s effortless, reliable, and works beautifully as a side dish or a simple comfort meal on its own.

Ingredients
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 2 teaspoons olive oil
- 1 ½ teaspoons garlic powder
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 6 medium potatoes, scrubbed
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl, then stir in olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Poke several holes into each potato using a fork.
- Place each potato on a piece of foil and brush generously with the butter mixture.
- Wrap the potatoes fully in foil and poke a few more holes through the foil.
- Bake for about 1 hour, or until the potatoes are completely fork-tender.
- Slice open and brush with the remaining butter mixture before serving.
