  • ½ teaspoon freshly grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce (or more to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon Asian fish sauce (optional)
  • 2 teaspoons vegetable oil
  • 1 cup thinly sliced green onion

How to Cook

  • Ensure shrimp are fully thawed and well drained, then refrigerate while preparing the marinade.
  • In a bowl, whisk together garlic, honey, ginger, soy sauce, and fish sauce.
  • Add shrimp to the bowl and toss to coat evenly. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for 30–60 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Heat a nonstick skillet over high heat and brush with oil until it begins to smoke slightly.
  • Transfer shrimp into the hot skillet in a single layer, setting aside the extra marinade.
  • Sear shrimp for 2 minutes, then flip. Pour in the remaining marinade and cook for another minute.
  • Turn off the heat, flip shrimp once more, and let sit for about 1 minute until the glaze thickens.
