Ingredients
- 6 quarts water, and more as needed
- ¼ cup seafood seasoning (such as Old Bay®)
- 1 pound small red potatoes
- 1 teaspoon seafood seasoning (such as Old Bay®), or to taste
- 2 pounds king crab legs
- 2 cups chopped carrots
- 1 ½ cups chopped celery
- 12 pearl onions
- 1 pound spicy sausage links, cut into rounds
- 4 ears corn, husked
- 2 pounds unpeeled shrimp
Directions
- Bring 6 quarts of water to a boil in a large stockpot.
- Stir in ¼ cup seafood seasoning.
- Add the red potatoes and cook for about 15 minutes.
- In a separate large pot, bring water to a boil and add 1 teaspoon seafood seasoning.
- Add the king crab legs and cook until the meat is tender, about 10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- Add the carrots, celery, and pearl onions to the pot with the potatoes.
- Continue cooking until the vegetables are tender, about 10 minutes.
- Add the sliced sausage and corn, then boil for 5 more minutes.
- Stir in the shrimp and the cooked king crab legs.
- Cook for 2 to 3 minutes, or until the shrimp turn bright pink and are opaque throughout.
- Remove from heat and serve immediately in large bowls.
