Ingredients
- 4 large eggs, at room temperature
- 1½ cups whole milk, warmed
- 1½ cups all-purpose flour
- ¾ teaspoon salt
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled
- Nonstick cooking spray or butter for greasing the pan
Directions
- Let the eggs come to room temperature and warm the milk slightly before starting.
- Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C). Position the oven rack in the lower third of the oven.
- Place a popover pan in the oven for 2 to 3 minutes until hot.
- In a blender or mixing bowl, combine the eggs, warm milk, and salt until well blended.
- Add the flour and mix until the batter is completely smooth with no lumps.
- Pour in the melted butter and blend for another 15 to 20 seconds until the batter becomes light and frothy.
- Let the batter rest at room temperature for 15 minutes.
