Chili Mac Recipe

Ingredients
- 1 pound 90–93% lean ground beef
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 4 cups beef broth
- 1 (15-ounce) can petite diced tomatoes
- 1 (15-ounce) can tomato sauce
- 1 1/2 tablespoons chili powder
- 2 teaspoons ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 8 ounces uncooked elbow macaroni
- Shredded cheddar cheese, for serving
- Sour cream, for serving
Directions
- Add the ground beef and chopped onion to a large soup pot over medium-high heat. Break the beef apart with a wooden spoon and cook for 6–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the beef is browned and the onions are softened.
- Add the beef broth, diced tomatoes with their juices, tomato sauce, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, sugar, and black pepper. Stir everything together and bring the mixture to a simmer.
- Add the uncooked elbow macaroni and simmer, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is tender, about 12 minutes.
- Serve the chili mac hot and top with shredded cheddar cheese and sour cream.
