Brussel Sprout Recipes
Brussel sprouts can be transformed into a tasty, crispy, and family-friendly side dish with the right recipe. Roasting them at high heat brings out their natural sweetness and nutty flavor while keeping the centers tender and the edges perfectly crisp. This recipe works well for roasted brussel sprout recipes, oven brussel sprout recipes, crispy brussel sprout recipes, vegetarian or keto versions, and is great for everyday meals or festive occasions like Thanksgiving.

Ingredients
- 1 pound Brussels sprouts, cleaned and trimmed
- 3 tablespoons olive oil (or butter-flavored coconut oil for a keto option)
- 3 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
- ¼ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper to taste
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) so the Brussels sprouts roast evenly and develop a crispy exterior.
- Prepare the sprouts by washing them, removing loose outer leaves, trimming the stem ends, and cutting larger sprouts in half. Leave smaller ones whole. Pat them dry completely to avoid steaming.
- Season the sprouts by spreading them on a baking sheet in a single layer, cut side down when possible. Drizzle with olive oil, add the garlic slices, and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Toss until evenly coated.
- Roast the sprouts for 20–25 minutes, stirring once halfway through, until they are golden brown, crispy on the edges, and tender inside.
- Finish and serve by removing from the oven, sprinkling with Parmesan cheese, tossing gently, and serving right away.

Preparation Details
For the best results, choose Brussels sprouts that are roughly the same size and make sure they are completely dry before roasting. High heat helps reduce bitterness and brings out natural flavor. Garlic adds extra aroma, and Parmesan provides a savory finish. You can easily adapt this recipe for air fryer brussel sprout recipes, balsamic variations, or brussel sprout recipes with bacon by adding cooked bacon pieces before serving.
