Ingredients

  • 6 quarts water, and more as needed
  • ¼ cup seafood seasoning (such as Old Bay®)
  • 1 pound small red potatoes
  • 1 teaspoon seafood seasoning (such as Old Bay®), or to taste
  • 2 pounds king crab legs
  • 2 cups chopped carrots
  • 1 ½ cups chopped celery
  • 12 pearl onions
  • 1 pound spicy sausage links, cut into rounds
  • 4 ears corn, husked
  • 2 pounds unpeeled shrimp

Directions

  • Bring 6 quarts of water to a boil in a large stockpot.
  • Stir in ¼ cup seafood seasoning.
  • Add the red potatoes and cook for about 15 minutes.
  • In a separate large pot, bring water to a boil and add 1 teaspoon seafood seasoning.
  • Add the king crab legs and cook until the meat is tender, about 10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  • Add the carrots, celery, and pearl onions to the pot with the potatoes.
  • Continue cooking until the vegetables are tender, about 10 minutes.
  • Add the sliced sausage and corn, then boil for 5 more minutes.
  • Stir in the shrimp and the cooked king crab legs.
  • Cook for 2 to 3 minutes, or until the shrimp turn bright pink and are opaque throughout.
  • Remove from heat and serve immediately in large bowls.
