Ingredients

  • 2 cups uncooked short-grain white rice

  • 6 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • ½ cup white sugar
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup oyster sauce
  • 1 (12-ounce) Spam (luncheon meat)
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 5 sheets nori (seaweed), cut in half

Directions

  • Soak rice in water for about 4 hours, then rinse and drain.
  • Cook rice with 2 cups water until tender (about 20 minutes).
  • Remove from heat and mix in rice vinegar, then let it cool.
  • In a bowl, mix sugar, soy sauce, and oyster sauce until dissolved.
