For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”  John 3:16 NIV

You ask me who is this Jesus?
Why do I bother with him, my friend?
Ah, this life is really so very short, indeed,
Hallelujah!  With Jesus, my life has no end!

Who is this Jesus

Really?  How can you possibly know that?  The Bible tells me so!  Bingo!  I am not just a Christian because I was raised in a church, attended Sunday school and go to church on Christmas and Easter.  I am a Christian because I believe that The Bible is the inspired word of God written to me.  Jesus is in God so when Jesus speaks, God speaks.  Jesus says “…The words I say to you are not just my own.  Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work.” When God speaks, I want to hear what He has to say!  I want to hear Him tell me how to love, how to forgive, what path to take, for whom to pray.   I am a Christian because The Bible has told me that Jesus is God, I have given my life to following Him, I claim my forgiveness and victory over death through Him, and I have God forever at my side.

Why bother with Jesus?  Why not?  As Christians, we have the answers to the mysteries of life through faith.  We are the only folks who are saved by God’s incredible grace.  We are the only believers who know that we are going to eternal life with the Father because Jesus told us.

Of course, I’m a Christian!  When I accepted Jesus Christ as my savior, the adventure began.  The fuel for my journey has been in the chapters of God’s Word, The Bible.  The affirmation of His love for me has been in devotionals and in fellowship with other Christian women on the road to paradise with Him!  Hop on!  You are in for the ride of your life!
